Where the Body meets the Mind

Mental health goes far beyond just the mind

True healing and connection require us to look at the whole picture: the mind, the brain, and the body. Move for Connection is a space dedicated to exploring that intersection—where psychological insight meets the wisdom of the body.

I’m currently a Master’s candidate in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. While my focus is now on the clinical and neurobiological aspects of mental health, this journey didn't start in a classroom—it started on the move.

The Evolution

For years, Movement and Connection have been my guiding values. I discovered their power while navigating my own transitions—most notably during a season in Medellín where movement became my primary tool for self-discovery.

I spent six years at Salesforce in the tech world, and while I thrived on building relationships, I found myself drawn more to the human stories behind the data than the data itself. This led me to train as a Co-Active coach, where I had the privilege of helping clients align their "being" with their "doing."

The Call to go Deeper

As a coach, I loved walking alongside people as they carved their own paths. However, I eventually reached a threshold. I realized that some parts of the human experience—trauma, deep-seated patterns, and the way our nervous system holds our history—require a level of education and clinical training that coaching alone cannot provide.

To truly honor the complexity of the mind-body connection, I knew I had to go back to the beginning. My training at Pepperdine is the next step in that commitment: moving from the surface of behavior to the depths of psychological and somatic healing.

The Living Laboratory

I use this space to share what I’m learning in real-time. My hope is that by documenting my journey through graduate school, these reflections might offer a new perspective or a moment of resonance for your own path.

How to engage with this space today:

  • The Blog: I’ll be posting regular reflections on the mind, the brain, and the body as I move through my clinical training.

  • The Shop: Explore my Reflection Journals, which blend somatic exercises with prompts to help you listen to your own rhythm.

  • 1:1 Coaching: I continue to offer a limited number of Co-Active coaching sessions for those navigating personal transitions.

Here’s to the messy, beautiful process of becoming. Thank you for being part of this movement—I'm excited to share this next chapter with you.
